CL World Brands Limited: Executive Management Lawrence A. Duprey Group Executive Chairman Lawrence A. Duprey is the Executive Chairman of C L Financial Limited, the holding company for more than 70 companies with businesses operating globally. He spent his early life in Canada and the United States where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and did post graduate work in Business Administration. He worked with a global engineering company where he gained experience in Project Management as well as mergers and acquisitions. He returned to Trinidad to assist in the turn around of Colonial Life Insurance Company (Trinidad) Limited and on the death in 1988 of the then founder and Chairman, Cyril Duprey, Lawrence Duprey was appointed Chairman. Since he has been with the company, its asset base has grown to over US$ 2 billion. Mr. Duprey has been very active in developing the savings potential of the people of the region through home ownership and financial instruments, which provide financial security. In January 2003 Mr. Duprey formed CL World Brands, a global drinks company. Fraser Thornton CEO Fraser Thornton has worked with Burn Stewart Distillers Ltd for over 12 years. On graduating from Stirling University with a BA in Marketing in 1989, Fraser joined Price Waterhouse in Glasgow and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He specialised in Corporate Finance for the next four years before leaving to join Burn Stewart Distillers in April 1996. Frasers initial role was to develop the company's Malt brands in North America which saw him working closely with many of the large US distribution companies performing brand ambassadorial work. He was then appointed to the position of UK Sales Manager in 1998 with responsibility for the management of the company's key private label accounts before being appointed Marketing Manager for Europe and Asia in 2001. He was then appointed to the Board as Marketing Director towards the end of 2002. Following the acquisition of Burn Stewart by CL Financial in January 2003 Fraser was then appointed Managing Director of Burn Stewart Distillers Ltd in October 2006 and most recently given the responsibility for co-coordinating CL WorldBrands in May 2007.
