CL World Brands Limited: New Managing Director at Burn Stewart Distillers
Following the establishment of CL World Brands Limited as a new global drinks group, Chief Executive Ian Bankier has announced the appointment of Steve Campbell as Managing Director of Burn Stewart Distillers Limited.
Burn Stewart is part of the globally competitive drinks group CL World Brands Limited which has its headquarters in East Kilbride in Scotland. The other companies within the Group are Angostura, based in Trinidad; Thos Hine &Co, based in France and Todhunter International, based in Florida. The Group also has a strategic interest in Belvedere, the Polish vodka company.
This is the latest development at Burn Stewart following the acquisition of the Black Bottle and Bunnahabhain brands in April of this year. The company is committed to growing sustainable Scotch whisky branded business on the international stage and to becoming a key player within the CL World Brands Group. No other changes are anticipated at the company.
Steve Campbell (55) joined Burn Stewart in 2000 as Finance Director, following a career in the drinks industry. He has extensive international experience and prior to joining Burn Stewart, was a Director within the UDV Group in the Far East, gaining a working knowledge of the benefits of operating within the structure of a large drinks Group.
Ian Bankier said, “It has been a busy and exciting time for Burn Stewart recently - over a very short space of time the company has acquired new premium brands and new international partners. Burn Stewart is now a strong, vibrant company and, without doubt, Steve is the right man for the job.”
Ian Bankier was formerly Group Managing Director of Burn Stewart.
Steve Campbell said, “I feel confident that I can put my international experience to good use and I look forward to meeting the challenges ahead.”
Shona Milloy, formerly Financial Accountant at Burn Stewart, has been appointed Head of Finance.
Steve Campbell continued, “ I am delighted that Shona has agreed to take charge of the finance function at Burn Stewart and I wish her well in her new role.”
